Respect The Grind

Post super bowl mayhem with love or hate for Brady, ya gotta give it to the guy - he's been grindin.

I don't know squat about football & can't wrap my brain around how my brothers know so many damn stats & details about every player in the game! But I do consider myself an athlete, and you cant deny the incredible athlete that Tom Brady (& all of the players in this super bowl!) is/are.

How did he get to the top, where was he before & did anyone care how he wore his hair back then?!

All I know, is he didn't get to this place by luck or by sitting on his ass!

No one talks about that part; the grind. The blood, sweat, tears and sleepless nights working when others aren't.

Everyone sees the positive outcome, the multiple super bowl rings, which deserves acknowledgement & attention. But it's the grind that deserves respect.

This is something my Muay Thai instructor talks about on rank advancement day, and something my AdvoCare mentor talks about in team training. It's not just about that one day or achievement when you experience success, but in each individual moment that make you want to quit leading up to it, that encompass success.

The grind isn't for everyone. Working your ass off, but still experiencing failure or setbacks is frustrating and heartbreaking. You question and doubt yourself, but when you remember why you started and focus on your purpose, the grind will be worth it.

I believe I'm meant for something bigger than myself, and that my heart and passion to positively impact people's lives will take me far beyond what I can imagine. But I fight with my insecurities and vulnerabilities, which are like a whisper from the devil saying to just give up.

It would be easier & it would be "normal", to just work full time in a place that doesn't bring me to life but that pays the bills. But there's got to be more to life than this, and I'll keep trying and I'll keep believing.

People who've "reached the top" of their game or career, or any achievement for that matter, couldn't have possibly gotten there by taking the easy way out and never grinding through the tough times.

Respect the grind and Dream big!
