Learning to dance in the rain!

When things aren't going our way and obstacles come up that we cannot control, it's in these moments that strength is built.
I briefly fall into a bout of "woe is me" and what can I do to turn this around. However, more recently I've been praying for strength to get through it and look at it as a lesson (aka silver lining!).
The past couple of weeks I've had a battle going on inside my head; racing thoughts waking me in the middle of the night, and my addiction to perfection has my brain planning for every scenario that could possibly happen. Ugh.
However, I've gotta say that I'm pretty proud of myself because while my mind is taking a chaotic race around the globe, I've been calm and pleasant on the outside. Smiling and speaking positivity, sincerely listening and looking deep at the lesson sprinkled throughout the rain drops!
For me, it's times like these that I like to get back to my comfort zone and what I know will help push through, so that's sticking to my workout routine and trying my best to keep my diet full of the right nutrients and naturally calming ingredients.
Trust me, most nights I've gotta force myself to the gym while a bowl of ice cream tempts me to stay on the couch! lol But again, pushing through and doing something that's actually going to benefit my physical & mental health, is where the strength is built!
My last post was on trusting the process, so I still go back to that during the periods of rain that make ya wanna give up and take cover back in your cave (aka comfort zone)!
Instead I'm gonna be like Olive; put on my raincoat and dance in the rain!
