Apple Cider Vinegar - a current staple in my daily routine!

This is gonna be a short & sweet blog, but apple cider vinegar (ACV) has got me real hype these days – probably because I’m feeling so good from the inside out!

ACV is known for its multiple health benefits, and it’s nothing new. For me, I just had to get past the in-your-face smell and taste…which I’ve done by disguising it, or mixing it into drinks/food. I’ll share some recipes in a few!

Here are just a few in a long list of benefits of adding just one tablespoon a day of apple cider vinegar to your diet: “Helps Heartburn and Acid Reflux. Promotes Healthy Cholesterol. Can Aid in Healthy Weight Loss. Promotes Healthy Blood Sugar. Has Antioxidant Properties. Improves Nutrient Absorption.” I’ve even read that it’s a good household cleaner – regular vinegar is as well!

What I’ve noticed the most from incorporating ACV recently, is that I’m not as bloated any more – wooohoo! My insides even kinda feel squeaky clean in a way lol As of today, I’m getting about 5 tablespoons throughout my day. I started to wonder, is too much of a good thing counterproductive? So, I asked my nutritionist who said, some people consume up to 4 ounces a day; wowza. Drink up!

Crazy to think how one little ingredient can improve your health in several different ways. This is something I’ve been learning a lot more of, through meeting with a nutritionist regularly. She’s taught me and shown me all of the natural ways to get certain reactions and benefits from our food alone! Like brazil nuts – having just two a day provides vitamins and minerals to help protect your thyroid, improve your skin and boost antioxidants.

So how am I incorporating ACV? At first I only started to use it in making my own salad dressing: 2 tablespoons ACV, 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil, season with a pinch of garlic salt, pepper and whatever dried herbs I have on hand (basil, oregano, mrs. dash). Even this small amount of salad dressing is enough to cover my whole salad and provide a lot of flavor! I’m also using this same recipe to drizzle over sliced cucumber, as my afternoon snack.

The latest concoction I’ve been incorporating another tablespoon of ACV in my daily routine, is a recipe of products from AdvoCare. Scoop of Rehydrate, scoop of Advo Greens, and stick of Slim. I’m having this ½ hour before breakfast in the morning and this drink alone is giving me quality hydration you need first thing in the morning, along with a serving of veggies for the day and some appetite control – combined with ACV to make my insides happy 😊 Ya can’t taste the ACV at all, it’s honestly a light fruit drink to get the day started.

If you don’t have these items on hand, mixing ACV in hot tea with lemon is also a great way to incorporate it to get past the strong smell/taste!

Give ACV a try and see how your health starts to improve….or if it’s not for you, it’ll at least shine up your windows better than windex! 😜
