"You body won't go where your mind doesn't push it"

Your mindset and mental health are a huge equation in changing or improving your physical health.

Think about it, any new nutrition plan or workout routine you've tried, you probably waited til you felt just right or were ready enough to take the leap.

If you force yourself to try the latest fad or something so far from what you're already doing, chances are you're not going to stick with it. It may even feel like torture. Ugh, no thanks!

I genuinely enjoy eating well and working out, although I wasn't always this way. I picture the food I'm fueling myself with, melting the love handles away - girl bye! I picture the exercises I'm doing allowing me to feel good in my clothes and not feeling like I gotta cover up with flowy shirts...I doubt moomoo's will ever be a fashion statement! lol

I'm also an emotional eater; angry, stressed, anxious or sad I'm guilty of going for the comfort & junk foods to "heal". I indulge and then feel like crap shortly after - vicious cycle.

When you can take care of your mind and emotions first, the physical improvements become much easier & way more enjoyable! It truly goes hand in hand.

I've never had an eating disorder, and wouldn't wish that painful disease on anyone, but I've been guilty of using food to heal & cope. You've gotta address what's really going on inside before you can successfully change yourself on the outside.

It's tough work, and I know some of us make it look easy - I have people compliment my eating habits or appearance and follow up with a "must be nice" or "good for you with your good genes". Well, they don't always see what goes on "behind closed doors" or in my mind, which can sometimes be a serious battle of can I do this and am I good enough.

Tough work, but totally worth it to take care of yourself and your mindset first, to improve your physical health thereafter!
